I didn't want to be overbearing or bold in any way. I would also like to buy this Seamaster, which I find of great interest and well done. Unfortunately, however, i am afraid (from what I have read in this very long thread) that times could be not yet fully ripe for a reasonably defect-free purchase.
What was your idea about it?
Thanks

Hello Shau, if you want perfect rep then it will never be good time to buy it. :)

Apart from pieces with obvious QC issues, VSF really created wonderful reps in the last year. If you can live with small imperfections and find QC-defect free piece, I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
Remember, all rep makers have QC issues on their rep models. Hell, even gen makers have QC issues (just browse popular gen Rolex forums and you'll see outcry of gen owners).

I used to have a white face seamaster about 15 years ago. This will definitely be one to buy! Its scheduled to hit the boutiques in Nov so we may have to wait a while for VSF to catch up.

From now on, lets call the white one The Seamaster Albino :D Hahaa!

Will VSF be repping this?

I hope so. No date to mess up either - should be a good rep.

So long story short, my rotor stuck cause of a screw jumping around the case, took it to my watchmaker, he managed to put it back where it’s supposed to. He did state that many screws in the movement were loose, he did tighten them all and did pressure check to 10 ATM after repairs, all good now!

Check the printing on the dial between 8 and 9 o'clock.. in the first image printing defect is clear, in the second a bit less but this proves the defect..

Man thank you very much, how I missed that flaw!

I just received my rubber straps (blue) from my TD and Ive tried two different rubber straps with two different watches (V1 and V2) and neither one of them fit. The holes for the spring bars dont line up. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just put mine on a Zealand strap which is made for this one and it fits perfectly. The strap went on easily and everything lines up as it should. I have one on the way from VSF, but do not have it in hand yet. I will post about it when I get it. I think it is likely you are just doing something wrong, but I have had this problem in the past with other watches and bending the springbars can make all the difference. In this case I don't think that should be necessary though. Here is mine on the Zealande
that I just got:

btw it's an ETA clone. My movement was defunct on arrival, so I quickly swapped it with a brand new swiss selitta sw200 :)

Frediiii: sorry to quote for ages ago but I've scanned through 1300+ posts here and can't find the answer and you're the only one I'm seeing who has disassembled the watch:

Does this watch use a date wheel overlay or does it use the actual date wheel? I ask because mine seems just a hair misaligned. Barely enough to worry about it. But if it's an overlay I might think about fixing it.
