Hello Watch Fam,
So my children have all grown up learning about and appreciating my watches. When I started looking around in the Rep forums and learning the ins and outs of the Rep world one of my daughters “Willow” ( Daddy’s Girl) took interest as well. She followed me down the rabbit hole of course just to keep me company, she was 13 when I started on these forums back in 2005 and what a ride it’s been. So throughout the years she’s had a few nice watches including a Gen vintage Omega that she loves but doesn’t see much wrist time anymore since her acquisition of a very nice TC v6 16610ln she received for her 16th B-Day in 2016 that I gave her of course. Willow has had a number of hobbies over the yrs on her social media pages and I have supported each and every one lol. Her latest adventure involves making things with resin, interesting how even with her newest hobby she always remembers daddy’s love for watches and how Rolex holds a special place in my heart lol. So over the last week she has come to me with little things and says here daddy look what I made for you... in shock all I could do is hug her and tell her how beautiful her work was, that I will always treasure them and will always show them off whenever I can. She has Made me 3 keychains and two coasters for my drinks.
She is remaking the coasters because she said “If I can see the flaws in them I know you will see them” to which I just giggled and gave her a smile. So anyways i just wanted to share a moment with you all. On to the pics ...

These are beautiful mate! Excellent craftmanship, I guess she got your eyes for details - which is definitely a good trait!
It is always nice to hear a story of such this and that your daughter appreciates and supports your hobby, just like do supported her.

Mate, your watches, Rolex accessories, stories and your family are beautiful. Thanks for sharing this with us and put a smile on our faces too.

PS. Now you'll get pm from people asking you to sell the TC lol

That's a touching and beautiful story..
Here we all are, having this hobby, the way we feel about our watches, always on the hunt for perfection, for the next best thing maybe, 'outsiders' never understand.
So to be supported by and to even be able to share that with your own daughter is something very special, endearing if that's the word. Her understanding your passion must feel great.
Very nice, top watches, top story, congrats, thanks for sharing it with us!

Great story. Loving those keychains, and general appreciation for resin. As a bit of a Petrol head, these remind me of some of those ‘60’s shifter knobs that use a very similar resin. Congrats to you and your daughter.

Thank you for your response it made me laugh out loud because it’s totally what I thought of when she told me she wanted to start a resin business. Another thing she is very passionate about are animals from some of the smallest insects to largest four legged and winged ones. So when I found a beautiful scorpion in our pool I took it to her to see if she wanted to honor it by putting it in her resin art. She made a beautiful paperweight with it looks amazing.

So I was able to watch Willow hard at work this morning on a really cool COVID X-Mas ornament that is one of her best sellers at the moment. She wanted to experiment with rose gold leaf I think it came out pretty cool lol. Just thought I’d share the pics with you all. ;)

Those are amazing! You have a very talented daughter, my friend.

Really like that Xmas ornament. Captures the essence of what Xmas this year is all about. Fun but with a very visible nod to caution.

Should she ever decide to make more, and wish to sell them, please let me know. Otherwise, enjoy your daughter’s creative gifts.

She is always busy making and experimenting and selling her crafts.
Not sure what you are interested in?
I wish I could have seen how she did the Rolex stuff but unfortunately I wasn’t around when she was working on that. She can do any logos you want not just Rolex.
Did you mean the X-Mas Ornament she just made? It is pretty cool right? I told her to make us one for our tree with Christmas colors lol to which is she said “all colors are Christmas colors Dad you just have to be in the Spirit.” I guess she got me there lol.

Nice story and your daughter is clearly creative?

Is she set up On Etsy? I have a friend who started to to experiment with resin too, she went on to start selling pieces on Etsy, she does well.

Yes she is set up on a few different platforms I think that’s how you say it.
I know that she does way better on her Facebook and Instagram than she does on Etsy. She says it’s because it’s much harder to find I guess not as user friendly.
Thanks for taking the time friend.

I Got to help a bit today and snap a couple pics of Willow prepping some rose gold, yellow gold and white gold Rolex logos for some orders she got the last few days. She said she is going to pour for of them later today so I hope I’m around when she does so I can snap a few more pics of the process and results for you all. :)

Well guys unfortunately I wasn’t around when Willow poured the first layer so I missed how neat it is and didn’t get any pics but here are three Money Green Rolex coasters one in rose gold crown and logo one in yellow gold crown and logo and one in white gold crown and logo in drying phase :) sure looks cool so far! She also just got an order for a really cool blue. So I said to her “ dam that’s a really pretty blue”, she winked at me and said “ I know I gochu”! lol I spelled it just how it sounded ;)

Step two yesterday mixing and pouring these Rolex coasters was fun. It was interesting to see the color change from a more clear green to a rich gold infused deep green. So tomorrow will be the final step with a clear coat and a cure period.
Then the reveal on either Thursday or Friday. Here are a few pics of her pouring the second step.

Ok well I wasn’t able to get the clear coat process because Willow ended up doing it yesterday so that she could remove from molds today. It was interesting seeing the way they change in different light as well as what they are placed upon. The original ones she made me don’t have that effect.
I really like this method she used for these.
Well here are the a few pictures that show them being removed from the molds and set on different settings and lighting. Amazing how each one takes on a life of its own. Well it’s been fun for me sharing this story as well as her finding the best process to make her craft as nice as possible. Thank you all for taking the time to share this journey and for your kind words. Hope it was fun for you all, on to the final pictures. Enjoy :)

Awesome stuff! You’ve got a great kid, EB. Reckon that comes from having a cool dad. ;)

Thanks just being a dad to little Clan of 6 two boys and four girls, man they keep me busy lol. I went gray way before my time but it’s been a blast keeping them close to our Culture and Ceremonial life as well as all the real fun stuff. So they’ve been raised knowing both worlds learning how to navigate through both :)

Ok so yesterday I see Willow
Deep in thought on her laptop. I think she’s working on her college homework so I ask her, “ What are you working on Kiddo”? So I walk over to where she is sitting in the dining room to see if I can help, I then see she is holding a keychain she had just finished and holding it up to her laptop which is on the Rolex website on the turquoise blue dial OP 41mm. Inside I was busting up, she looks at me with a sad look in her face and said “man I thought I had it epic fail I should of put two more drops of white”! It was so cute to see her like that. Lol
Anyway here is her first attempt at matching the OP turquoise blue dial. Or should I say Tiffany Blue dial? Lol jk ;)
