Interesting read, didn't even cross my mind that fake wines existed until I read this story and realised how easy it was. This gay made off with millions selling rare bottles with misspelled labels and non existant vintages.

It sure is. A lot of the higher end stuff is bought and sold to sit in a cellar and not to drink.
A friend owns a lab specifically for testing and certifying wine. She says about 20% of her business is for collectors and auction houses

He didn't even work that hard at it. A trusting group of collectors.

Like this guy who made millions in counterfit Mormon documents based on a little knowledge and simple aging techniques.
