Curious what some of the older USA based members of the sub remember from the Great Recession, the Dot Com bubble popping, etc.
Does a recession cause demand for gen watches to fall and more people buy reps? If you were around buying reps at the time, did you notice any difference in the market for reps at all? I've heard some people claim that luxury watches are the domain of the 1% and that Rolex, Patek, et al will do just fine weathering a recession and others claim that the best time to buy luxury gen watches is during a recession because that's when prices fall.
