I ordered an LV Wallet and Belt from a TD. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday it was caught in customs as a “clearance event” with DHL.
First it was cleared, but then it went back to customs, to “clearance event,” and stayed at that until Monday, re-stating "clearance event" each day.
I assumed it was gone forever. But today it was delivered by DHL, re-taped with a white tape that said “customs opened and resealed”
Everything was still wrapped, in the packaging, receipts, etc were left alone.
I was under the impression that a “clearance event” was the end, and I was expecting a seizure letter, or at the very least a phone call looking for tax money.
But nothing. Just re-sealed up, and delivered.
Is this odd?
Has anyone heard of this before?
