Gringo needing help please...

I was wondering if any spanish speaking members could translate this song for me. I've been listening to it for almost 20 years and it's killing me that I do not know the words...sung by Pedro Aznar, written by Pat Metheny. A nice song that really builds up to great guitar-synth solo. The song is 'Dream of the Return'.

A correct translation of this song would be most helpful.

ok, this song has allot of puerto rico street slang in it so this guy missed some translation to references to the n word and guns but it is pretty good. translation of cultural street slang it tough because it varies from city to city even in the same country. for instance allot of mexicans don't know the slang word esa means man until they hear it a few times in conversations, it is a chicano slang word.

here is an english translation along with the song for you to read while you listen to it.

enjoy,
