and accept a young Yank.. together singing, drinking.. and then

as they sat together, to chase the wild alpen flowers.. edelweiss, edelweiss..

I was stationed in Nurnberg from 78 until 81 and lived in Merrill Barracks, the old SS kaserne. That was one of the best times of my life. I have missed this wonderful country from the time I rotated back.

i an born in WUERZBURG ( Leighton Barracks ) grew up in Kitzingen ( HARVEY BARRACKS )

but spend a lot of time in Nuernberg....where the GI's had a lot of fun on the old city wall .....hehe...you know what i mean !
lots of action for the hard DOLLAR !

Oh I was no stranger to the wall! I had a lot of good times in Nurnberg. I worked out of Fuecht Army Airfield in Langwasser Sud. I was in the 2nd ACR, Cobra Troop. Our cobras patrolled the Hof sector of the Czech border.
