Welcome to the forum but you're probably gonna have to narrow it down a little, there's ALOT of nice reps and a forum/thread for them all ;)

As to where to buy from:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/trusted-dealers

Bearing in mind the Staff announcement:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...37683-big-warning-do-not-google-td-s-websites

Best of luck & make the search bar your new friend:thumbsup:

Thankyou, I'm currently loking at a patek philippe complication/grand master, or a nice tourbillon

I'm fascinated by the factories, is there a thread on how they work?

I'd recommend parking some time and reading everything in the below section:-

https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/new-members-area

There are alot of stickied threads, pinned to the top of each sub forum, written by both past and present members, so a wealth of free information that is highly valuable and will equip you in efficiently navigating this forum.

To fully learn how things work, imho, they all should be read, but the below are must reads:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...some-of-the-more-prevalent-rules-of-the-forum

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...e-ultimate-guide-to-rwi-new-members-read-here

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...me-must-reads-and-interesting-info-start-here

Reading the above, in addition to all the other stickied threads, will stand to you ten fold if/when you decide to venture back into the main forum and/or attempt a purchase either via a TD or in the M2M area.

The main thing, imo, is to read read read, as there is most likely a thread for whatever question you're thinking of asking or whatever watch you're looking for, so my advice would be to make the search bar your new best friend.

Theres absolutely no need to rush into anything, that's when mistakes happen.

Best of luck & happy reading :search:

Many thanks - apologies for not replying earlier

I've read most of the threads now, there is an incredible amount to go digest

You're very welcome Sir, hope they were helpful, still volumes left, but definitely a decent starting point ;)

Once you pick your watch (or watches), that's when the real fun starts.

Investigating the model/factory (if currently operational etc), reading the various member reviews of the models, then deciding what TD to choose to buy from. Or to perhaps chance your luck with a M2M sale, but for those you have to be very quick.

As with any hobby, how good, or bad, it is will be directly proportional to the time/effort/money you put into it.

So best of luck and hope you get the watch you're after soon.

I've somehow ended up on the watch sales forum and found a lovely watch (and already messaged the seller!). I think I need to think of excuses comparing this safe hobby to riskier items such as gambling or partying

Going to add a basic question in the newbie forum shortly.

I love watches, the mechanisms are beautiful
