SH3135 replacement

If my SH3135 movement in my 116234 ARF datejust dies, is it possible to swap it for a swiss ETA? If so, what one is it?

sorry for the noob question, im a keen watch enthusiast but dont know anything about movements

Don't think it'll be worth it to swap a swiss ETA inside. Your two options are to get a new SH3135 movement from a TD or get a gen 3135 movement if you have the funds.

Why wouldnt it be worth it please? Ive just purchased the watch with a SH3135 inside, but im still worried as these havent been proven to be reliable yet. I usually stay away from these and get asian movements

two totally different mvts, the SH3135 is a clone of the gen 3135.....an ETA mvt is completely different

So apart from gen, what movement can be used as a replacement

Domi build an ARF 116234 franken for me with a swiss 2824 eta inside. He created a movement ring out of brass so it would fit. If you dont have any experience its not worth it but if you have a good watchmaker it definitely makes sense but beware: the hands, dial and datewheel (overlay) need to be modified to fit the swiss eta 2824.

It would be easier to just buy a DJF 116234 which comes with an asian 2824 and swap a swiss one into plus franken it with some gen parts
