Replacing sub a2386 with eta 2836 from old watches

Hello,
the eta 2836-2 is expensive and not easy to find for me.
So i was thinking,
Can i just buy a watch from ebay that uses eta 2836-2 25j and direct swap it into my sub that uses a2836?
Because eBay is full of vintage watches with eta 2836-2 and many of them really cheap, for sure cheaper than a new eta.

Where I'm wrong?

Yes you can. It can be you need a H4 gear to get a more accurate height of the hands but for the rest it should be an easy swap...Make sure the ETA is in good and running condition, if you have to fix it first, parts can be expensive sometimes...

i could use the h4 gear from asian in case, right?
another thing i forgot to say, i see many eta 2836 with dayw, can i take it off or i need to find one with date numbers only? Or maybe i could leave iit spinning hidden under dial? Not a good idea?
