An hour marker fell off one of my dials... still in fine shape and the pin/hole are fine...but some kind of adhesive appears necessary. What have you used for this task? Thanks.

I use epoxy now. I've used GSHypo cement also but it can leave strings as you pull the tube away. Good only for gluing from the back.

I put a small drop around each hole and one in the middle on a large marker.

Wow. That’s nerve wracking. You better make sure you get that on right. And Square.

Thanks KJ - Amazon had small bottle of the slow cure for 10 bucks. Should do me for awhile. My markers are single hole and round... thankfully nothing to put on straight! :)

A needle is a good applicator if you dont have a tiny watch oiler. Let the glue sit a few minutes after mixing so it's not so runny. Practice putting controlled drops around Sharpie dots on a piece of cardboard while you're waiting. Don't let much glue at all into the post holes.

Got it. Just to review:

Step 1. Dip phillips screwdriver into epoxy.
Step 2. Generously slather the hole. Repeat on back of marker - or, just dip into epoxy.
Step 3. Let parts sit for 15 minutes
Step 4. Use fingers to press marker into hole.
Step 5. Blast with hairdryer on high heat for 10 minutes.
Step 6. Use butter knife to scrape away excess exopy

Think we're good here. :)

You’re a brave man. This could have gone wrong very easily. I’ve messed up in the past doing similar. You slip or miss and end up with a spot of epoxy or glue on your dial.

Best method I’ve found was place the marker in place. Use a bit of masking take to hold it in place. Flip the dial over and put the glue in the hole from the back. Ha!

Jokes aside, that seems to work best for me and roughly idiot proof. Just make sure none of the masking tape touches any part of the dial.
