So you have a rep no date reference. Your loving it and dying to show it to your sucker friends to be lavished with ooo’s and aah’s BUT you know they’ll call you out because the crown clicks to three positions. Not only that but the date wheel might click over at some random time while they’re inspecting it. Get ready because here is the tutorial for you - convert an ETA2836 or ETA2824 from a three crown position movement to a two crown position movement.
As an example here is a PSL orange lume 5513 with an ETA2836-2.
Under the dial we see the date and day discs. Remove the spring holding day disc at the hour canon pinion. Gently lift off with those two little holes.
Remove all the day and date driving wheels. All the stuff on the left won’t be used again. We will reinstall minute c0ck to the right.
Buy yourself part 445/1327 - Set Bridge for ETA2801-2.
Remove existing set bridge.
Install new set bridge. Notice the difference circled in red.
Reinstall minute c0ck. It’s overkill because it’s designed to keep day/date works in place but it’s still necessary to keep set wheel in place.
