Hi,
I was always interested in modding my watches but I was too scared to break them. I recently aquired a 2824-2 movement and the accuracy of my Regmariner wasn't great. So I thought: why not put the high beat movement in it? After several video and text tutorials I accomplished to disassemble the hands and the dial from the movement(I also bought watchsmith tools). But the problem is that the dial pins dont align with the holes(or recesses) of the 2824-2. So I thought, f**k it, I cut them off and glue them on...yeah, superglue doesnt work for metal on metal, so I glued the dial on the movement, ... holds a little but not very strong either. I also tried to put the hands on again and they don't clip on. How can I fix all of this now? Should I buy a new dial(the regmariner dial isnt the best close up, as u can imagine, but It doesn't bother me that much) and different movement or should I try to solder pins?

most of us use dial dots to secure dials with feet removed , youll need new hands as the 2813 hands wont fit eta
also you pulled a 2813 out ? thats got a different stem height than a 2824, it would swap with a 2836 id imagine

Thank you. I got the 2824 for cheap. I don't think investing more into the regmariner is worth it. Where can I find cheap hands with a decent lume(doesnt have to be super strong, just the right color(blue))?

You can try Raffles dials. They have hands for the 2836 and the 2824
