Correct but that is corrected with a different dial spacer. The cases have the same dimension, so it will fit with a different dial spacer and or movement spacerNo, the movements have a different stem height. This will cause the stem to have a vertical angle to it which will exert uneven pressure on the crown. As you tighten the crown it will be pressed so hard on one side of the threads that it will become harder and harder to turn and eventually won't turn at all. Unfortunately we are stuck using different cases for different movements.

I want to modify my GMT Master II 2813 movement, to a clone ETA 2836, is this possible?
There is a high beat 2813, often called a 2813-2 or 4813, but they were never very reliable. Noisy rotor, poor power reserve, cheap painted gears with paint flaking off, etc. Best to stay away.
Thanks, so from what I unerstand there is no replacement, unless I can change the dial and hands as well? would raffles dials be a good place to buy?
Thanks KJ2020 , but basically it can be done? Or I can use the same dial with dial feet removed and using dial stickers and use new hands?
Would the 2824 even fit properly?
