Change bezel color on GMT Master II

Hello everyone,

a few weeks ago I purchased a GMT Master 2 replica you can see below (no need to comment on the overall quality please )
Now in the last few days I was thinking if there was any method do get the colors of the bezel a little darker, as they are shiny at the moment, very different form the real one.
Did anyone ver try this, or has some experience in it? I'm also open for new ideas on how to do it, so please feel free to suggest something ...

It'd be great if you guys could help me with all your expertise, thank you in advance for that!

Thanks for your answer, but I'm not trying to get the numbers darker, but the bezel itself i.e. a darker red and darker blue.
Any suggestions?

Your pic is not showing up for me. But generally speaking there are no good realistic options to change insert background colors, other than to source a better quality aftermarket insert and replace it.
