So i picked up what i thought was a cartel with swiss 2824 movt

Turns out the crystal was glued to the case found out when i dropped it and bought a clark t39 and my watchmaker said my only choice was to glue the new one as well

But the bezel assembly which was trying to get fixed when i dropped it, still doesn’t fit

On top of that, i need a new balance wheel

Advice please

Not a Cartel DRSD.

My advice - Don't drop watches.

I'll remember that

Will a TC 16610 bezel assembly fit?

I sincerely doubt it - the models 16610 and a 1665 have absolutely nothing in common - other than the fact they were both made by Rolex.

I only notice they have a big space. No idea if it was intentional or he had to make it to fit

What do you suggest?

What exactly on this bezel assembly needs to be fixed ? You have what is commonly called a 'wire/paper clip bezel assembly' - the wire inside the bezel ring, gens don't have this. It means you can't change it for a gen spec bezel assembly - it's also why the crystal is glued in place - because nothing on this watch is gen spec.

You need to try and work with/fix what you have there.

In the words of my esteemed colleague Tucker , this watch looks like a pile of steaming poo.

Are you sure there's a Swiss ETA inside - have you checked ? from whom did you buy this watch ?

Throwing good money after bad isn't very logical.

You're using some very technical terms there - I'll do my best, see if I've fully understood.

Remove the insert from the bezel ring, put the bezel ring on the case - the wire clip that's visible in the groove inside the bezel ring will sit in the groove on the 'neck' of the case.

Centre the bezel ring on the 'neck' of the case, using a very small screw driver or tweezers, start pushing down on the bezel ring whilst at the same time pushing the wire into it's groove on the 'neck' of the case.
Work your way around the bezel ring, pushing down on the ring, and pushing the wire into it's groove. Once the wire is in place all the way around, the bezel will be seated, it will turn correctly. Then you can replace he bezel insert - glue it if necessary.

Well that is what he was trying to do
It would not stay down
And I’m no better

Who can fix both issues?
