SA3135 Auto Wind FAILURE

Hello all,

I am starting to experience failure of the auto wind on these SA3135. In particular the "ratchet wheel driving wheel" part no. 510 (brass wheel with four holes)

The teeth on these wheels are being worn down, probably due to poor tolerances and engagement with the Reversing Wheels. (tried to upload an image but it was too big and resizing is disabled???).

Is anyone else experiencing this issue. Can we get/buy replacements (part 510) does anyone know? I'm hoping to get some from my TD Joshua. Unfortunately the original part from Rolex does not fit, the pivots are larger on the original part and don't fit the jewel holes of the SA3135.

I do my own service work here at home and have 10 years experience as a watchmaker.

this is exactly why I try to stick with eta clones...although I do have a few VSF 8500's...:)

I believe a genuine autowind will fit the SA3135. I know it'll fit the SH3135. Probably best course of action is to swap out the movement for a SH3135.

A good watch maker like mine put the part in lathe and took some of to fit . Some people on here say they grind the jewl which is not really as good as taking the pivet down to fit .
the two red wheels you can buy gen on ebay etc and they fit .
how long you had the watch ?

If it’s SA3135, a 28** should fit. I’m not a 100% sure but I think the SA clones are just 2836 movements decorated to look like 3135s.

That movement was one that there were hard to find replacement parts for if any existed. You may be better off just buying a 2836 and putting that in the watch. (If I’m correct).

No it won't they're completely different. This is a SA3135 Super Clone and its almost the same as the original 3135 from Rolex. There are ETA with decoroated bridges to look similar to the 3135 but this isn't that.

Hrmm... if it’s s clone, it should take a gen automatic works bridge.

From what I’ve read and seen, the SA3135s are modded 2836s. I have also heard that the majority of the movement doesn’t have replacement parts.

I think you’re thinking of the SH3135. Those are clones. They can take gen parts up until the balance bridge. Those won’t work on SH or VR clones but SA’s auto works should be the same or close to the 2836.

Can you post a pic of the movement? With the rotor off if possible.

No this is the SA3135 SUPER CLONE that NF use. It's not the SH or VR. and it definitely is NOT the the modified 2826 which is just decorated with fancy rotor. As a watchmaker by trade I've been taking apart most ETA and Rolex's movements for years. I've not tried a complete Auto Bridge swap as I don't have any spare but i know for sure the original Rolex "Ratchet Wheel Driving Wheel part 510" does not fit into the SA3135 as the pivots are thicker on the original wheel and thus won't fit into the jewels.

SA3135s are the worst of the clone 3135s. Best to just replace it with an SH or VR
