Hello everyone

I encounter several date issue on a hangzhou 6460 movement, clone of a 2836 with gmt function.
I have disassembled and reassembled many times the date mechanism, cleaned, oiled. I even replaced the parts with ETA parts. After many hours I do not understand what is going on. I have already disassembled and maintained several 28xx, 27xx movements and even the 7753 of my Paul Newman, but here I'm stuck. I usually manage to find information on the net but this time I can not find anything to help me. Before I go crazy I call on you. My watchmaking English is not very good, I hope you will understand my explanation.

The main issue :
2555 calendar driving wheel lift on one side after a little more than a half turn when the 2632 date unlocking yoke back in place. Then it blocks the GMT wheel.

I have replaced 2632 date unlocking yoke, 2633 unlocking yoke spring, 2644 unlocking yoke maintaining plate, 2555 calendar driving wheel , 2543 intermediate date wheel, 2784 double jumper, 2595 date jumper maintaining plate, 462 minute train bridge with ETA parts without getting better results.

Here are some pics to illustrate my bad explanations.

The date mechanism assembly

I am currently repairing a 2836 2 date wheel issue. I had to lightly sand the teeth and bend them back into shape because they appeared to have been forced to turn and dammaged the teeth. I always have issues with the date on these movements. Good running movement but the date wheel is terrible.

Your calendar driving wheel is not seated properly. You need to seat it while pulling back on the spring

Yes. Looks like you've just set it on top of the yoke. In all your pictures it never moves. It should go in and out with the turning of the wheel. Like Yodog said, pull the spring back, slide the yoke out , then seat the wheel.

That's exactly what I do to seat the calendar wheel. I slide the yoke then the wheel fall in place.

The yoke moves

Before embarking on a dismantling of the movement, I would like to have your opinions.
I was about to install the second hand and finally finish with this work, when I realized that the fourth wheel pinion is too short. I initially thought I broke it but this does not seem to be the case after checking with a magnifying glass. I also checked the photo of the movement where it was purchased. The pinion does not protrude beyond the canon and also seems very short.
I had already read subjects on H4 pinions and I know that there are different pinion length for the fourth wheel.
I find it curious that this movement is sold with a short pinion. Or maybe some long tube seconds hands exist ?
My only way out is to disassemble the movement, check the size and replace the wheel if necessary.

EDIT : I have several fourth wheels in my parts bin. Two are longer than the others.

ÉDIT 2 : just read H5 fourth wheel exist. This would the solution.

It's not broken - you need a long tube second hand - Raffles Time, amongst others sell them.

THANK YOU guys so much for this discussion.

Just came across this post while researching the initial problem and this is exactly what I was fighting with the calendar driving wheel and the date unlocking yoke.

I have put 4-6 hours in trying to figure this out. Between Bart Cordell's awesome pics and yodog's description I was able to fix in minutes.
