Nice set up!

I only have a small amount of tools and they are the cheap crap. I just put out a cloth and use the dinner table for now. Maybe one day something like you have, just don't have the space right now.

Thanks, started out as a second hand desk, modified it with an ikea solid birch worktop, and started adding stuff :)

Yes. Further evidence as to why these guys have such a good reputation here.

Most of it. The bigger stuff is aside till I move to the new room (getting rid of that damn ancient paneling).

Wow, envious! You guys have some awesome work stations. Just using an unused corner of the kitchen counter, towel laid out, with a set of jeweller's screwdrivers.

Wow I almost feel guilty now because mine looked so cluttered lol
Will post a pic of my "dirty" work area too, have just restored an old Elma Super Elite and super proud of it :)

Thought I'd reinvigorate this thread a little, here's my workshop. It measures 3.2 m x 1.5, so a rectangle with worktops on three sides. Its totally enclosed and has a door on one side,

First picture is the right hand end of the workspace
ws1.jpg

Second shot is a bit more balanced and perhaps a better view

ws1.jpg

Third shot is the left hand side of the workshop, where I do most of my case work and bits of engineering.

ws3.jpg

And outside the workshop, in a different area is where all your SD's end up for the crystal mods

A new machine project is currently underway (top secret) with luck and perseverance it will open new doors on a number of rep issues.

its my safe haven, get me in there for a few hours a day and I'm chilled to the max !!
The wooden tool box drawers each contain "types" of tooling, so for an example, I have one with all balance associated tools in one drawer and say all taps and dies in another. It just makes it so easy to keep everything together and tidy.

I call them "pods" bit like thunder bird four used to carry (lol)

That said all our watchmiesters have a great selection of tooling, just shows you where the money goes folks !!
