Not sure this is the correct forum for this, but I recently noticed that my watch has a problem when fully winding it. The problem cant be noticed if the mainspring is unloaded. After around 10 or 20 turns on the crown, it seems it stops winding, it gets kind stuck. I have opened it and just removed the automatic work, nothing seems broken or dirty. I release the mainspring power and I can wind it normally, but then it reaches that point when it gets stuck again.

Maybe there is a common cause for this issue, I would appreciate if someone could have any ideas about it.

Thanks!

Mainsprings are designed to to slip inside the barrel to prevent overwinding. If yours is refusing to slip it could be that the mainspring needs servicing.

Thanks, I will have a look at that. Maybe it just needs a bit of greasing.
