Ever since I have first seen the ref. 6200 I knew that I had to have that watch in my collection. Given the scarcity and price factors my only option was to get one built.
Luckily I found hungaryrolex on this forum and we started to talk and discuss different options. We talked a lot mainly about vintage Rolexes. He is a great guy with great knowledge of the watch world, who is happy to realize your watch dreams. He also likes and seeks the challenges certain builds might bring.
He had sourced all parts for the build except the dial and hands set which I had have pre-ordered with HR.
So let’s see the specs:
- Silix case set
- HR dial and hands set
- ETA 28xx (low beat) - not sure if it’s 2836 or 2834????
- Athaya crown and tube
- Sternkteuz plexi
I love the watch as is, though I’m aware of the things that give the watch away immediately. Still it’s not too shabby for a budget build. Nice work by hungaryrolex and looking forward to our next project????
Thanks for reading and now the photos.
