Few more pics to share of inner rehaut and inner case as well as movement. However the lug width for this watch is 21MM vs the gen at 22MM! Not sure how they got this one wrong. I figured it out as I was going to put another strap on it , a 22mm, and I quickly realized it was too wide! Sure enough when I measured it, they used the same band as the deepsea, except for the buckle deployment which is correct, but it is the same on some other Rolex models.View attachment 83024View attachment 83025View attachment 83026View attachment 83027View attachment 83028

Does anyone know how this stacks up against the new ARF model or a v7 Noob Quality ?

I have just received and approved the QC photos for my ARF watch. Hopefully will receive it by Christmas!

Nice looking watch .I think ,well I hope as I'm getting one that the ARF is leading in the quality race so to speak with possibly the new VRF close behind .Thats assuming the date font on the AR has been rectified of which I'm told it has been and which is why my watch is running late as the batch was withheld until the issue was fixed.
I'm told it's not super hard to mod the DW if need be ?

Here is another one of mine to compare, with flash and one without. The dial is not glossy and not a deep black even though I like the deep black look better on the reps.

One more with outdoor lighting, the newer reps have the bezel spot on, maybe a little to silverfish, but close, and overall I would say a pretty good rep

LOL, sorry maybe I forgot to mention that is the GEN! That's why it looks so perfect! I was just posting a couple of more pics as a newer ARF rep just was released, and wanted to show the more dull look of the GEN dial.

Wow, I thought this was a very high quality rep as I have seen some in the wild that are just perfect. You just saved me $11,140 (11,350-210)

The funny thing is I get more compliments on the rep! I think it because mine is a very early rep I bought m2m and that has a deep black gloss dial. It just looks "nicer". The issue I believe is the dial, if deep black and glossy, would be too similar to a submariner with the gloss dial. What is interesting is the submariner had a grayish matte dial in the 2nd phase of dials, see link. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-blog/rolex-news/brief-overview-vintage-rolex-dials.html

So it looks like to separate this watch as it really looks like a sub with red lettering, they used this finish instead, which I assume improves legibility in the water. After all it is a tool watch, albeit a very expensive one!
In some places I have seen them call this dial a " satin" finish and it has some brown hue to it. I believe is similar to the sd4k.

Make sure you dont sell your v1. Yours looks like the later batches of V1 with the correct crystal mag so it looks good. Not like the mickey mouse crystal that the V2 currently has. The incorrect mag on the v2 watch makes it look like a cheapo toy actually.

I realize this is an old post. But, I have to say all this fretting about date magnification...just try shopping for a current gen, and you’ll quickly realize that even Rolex can’t achieve consistency in date magnification. Once you realize this, you may find yourself passing on two or three offerings just to get one with a desirable magnification.

I do appreciate the concern over details, but you will not get called out on magnification unless it’s grossly out of spec.

Not sure, as it is first version whatever that is, here are a few more pics. I will upload higher resolution pics in a day or so, these are via tapatalk so quality is lower.

The left one is the genuine. Doesn't look like ARF's SD43 to me, maybe it could be VRF's?
