I called all their shops today:
0 sub. Waiting list: 1 year
No DSD, no waiting list. Even for old customers.
No pro watch but one YM. Should be gone this week.

I didn’t want to buy, I’d just like to understand.

I think trip is right, for me it’s just a marketing strategy. I can understand why a dude have to wait 6 months for a tesla, but not why you should wait one year for a sub, it’s just a basic watch... Rolex makes 220M€ in france in 2018, it’s only 40 000 watches, about 300/450 cases per store/year... If it’s not a strategy, it means they are just lazy as fuck

and waiting lists are dead there... They call that "wish list" now. You can be on their list forever. So the last will be the first, and the first last (2pac, 1995)

yesterday: 3/4 of the Galeries Lafayette Rolex shop vitrine were empty... almost no watch for sale anymore. And like some other shops there, sellers and buyers are 100% chinese. Sic transit gloria mundi
