I am looking for advice on how to best recoup my investment and or cut my losses. I purchased an Explorer ii (with a gen crystal) on the sales forum and the seller did disclose that the previous owner had an issue with the hour hand and Gmt hand stopping (ofcourse he had not experienced this and the watch was good) Regardless I am aware of the risk and bought the watch and while hindsight is 20/20 I now am stuck with a nice (non working watch) that I paid $275 for ugh.. Do you guys think that any of the Conus watchsmiths could repair this and do you think it is worth throwing more money at it? Thanks for your help.

It could be something really simple and cheap to fix. I’d definitely send it to a watchsmith to find the problem and take it from there.

Anything can be fixed. You need to provide more details and pictures for an intelligent response.
