Buying a 3135, I don't know how to approve QC

I got a few pictures of a movement I'm buying, but it's in the plastic holder and I dont know how I can see if there is any damage or scratches or some sort of engraving error. is it common practice that pictures would be sent without a holder ? I would like to know how I protect myself from any future issues, and if timographer looks like it's ok... thanks for your help

I've noticed the last picture, where a serial number engraved is the sunburts seems to be grinded off or away... does that alarm anyone? I'm a pretty big perfectionist, so I feel like this is a big QC issue... any thoughts

update... got a better pic, was just the machining reflecting light at a weird angle. Looks fine I guess. I was hoping someone who knows about timographer results would chime in with help. I'm not sure if that's a good result. please if someone actually can say something?

Do a Google search regarding how to read timegrapher results. You'll see what's good. What's acceptable etc.

I think it says +7 seconds a day.

The timergrapher results are OK for that movement it is gaining +7secs a day , the amplitude is 274 which is excellent , the beat error at 0.1ms is at the top of acceptable , the lift angle of 52degrees is correct for that movement , as is 28800 beats per hour .

If you either Google the subject , or search on this site you will find articles/ posts which explain who to read test results . Probably easier to search on here as there are a number of posts in plain English by members .

I did OK it, I read up on timographer results, and considered it to be excellent. I will be upgrading a few parts to make it reliable, but just the major necessities. don't wanna spend over 250 upgrading, so I was thinking buying used gen parts to replace the Chinese stuff. that way I'm still saving a bit and upgrading to better quality. has anyone ever done that... I'm on a budget lol

Can't truly QC a movement without taking it apart and looking inside. All you can really go on is the timegrapher reading and if the finishing is satisfactory. Do know that 3135 movements are notorious for being dirty straight from the factory, needing a good clean.
