Are the movements for this 2 IWC watches reliable?

Even movements generally considered reliable can be DOA if they've been assembled

- in a dirty/dusty environment
- with little or no oil at all or
- gears/wheels/springs that never should have passed QC

It's a hit or miss game really, but you can get all of the above issues fixed at a watchmaker or go for a Swiss made 7750 or SW500 that's gonna run for years without major issues.

That's not easy with the gen ETA 7750 because of the running second @6 in the Portuguese chrono watches.

But in the new versions of the A7750 with running sec@6 they fixed the time bomb issue and the movements are reliable as A7750 can be.
