Convince me to buy another 3777

Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying another 3777 blue dial. I bought one 3 years ago, it was a 3777-06 from ZF and I loved it but I had the worse luck. Aside from the usual QC issues, the crown stripped within a month, fixed it. Then it quit ticking a year later. Many watch makers refused the service it being a 7750. I found a local watch smith who was going to charge me $400 for a service or $300 labor to swap for an ETA7750 which is a pretty penny. I then thought about swapping it myself using an A7750 but that operation went bad as the hands are damaged.

Right now I’m looking at getting a 3777-14 from ZF but Im worried about it crapping out and I really don’t feel like spending over $1000 anytime soon. I know the rep is substantially cheaper than the gen, but for some reason I don’t feel like going through the headache and I’m a bit hesitant.

Can yal chime in on their experiences or give me some recommendations. I don’t have my eyes on getting any other watches.

I just got mine a week ago. It's a beautiful watch but just tad big for my wrists. The IWC pilot watches are considered classics for a reason so if you like them then go for it. You might have better luck this time around.

Looks nice! And yeah it’s a bit too big for your wrist. I got small wrists too but still rock it

I got a green Pilot some weeks ago, and very happy with it.
All working dial and very accurate on time compare to gen :)

I love mine, the blue dial really pops, pictures don't do them justice.

I've heard the leather straps are particularly poor even by rep standards so I bought mine on bracelet (3777-17 I believe). I figured I'd eventually pick up a leather strap but I haven't felt the need. The bracelet is a peach, the combination of tool free micro adjustment and lots of small inks make it comfy, links are removed via a push button system on the inside of the bracelet so no visible screws, very neat.
