Ylf or ZF ZF Portuguese chrono to franken

Short question guys:

If you plan to put a gen dial and hands in a Portuguese chrono.

Which one is best as an Franken watch base?

Are both the same thickness/case?

I have the YLF and the A7750 has been very reliable for me. However, there is always a recessed date because of the sec @6, and thickness is quite noticeable. From that perspective those things won't improve the watch. Just go gen because they trade below retail if you truly want to get the real experience.

Both are thicker, both have recessed date. That being said, I like the case of the ZF better, but went with YLF because of the supposedly better white dial.

Oh then disregard my comments I was thinking it was a different model with the date.
