My experience is that most straps on reps we buy from TD's are crap anyway. But than again you realy get what you paid for; a very nice super rep. Gen would cost like 4.500 euro. What would the benefit of the Swiss ETA 2892 movement be? Why would a maker choose this. I guess I makes the watch more expensive?

Thanks for all the info. It is very temping to buy one. I have a Mark VIII but somehow water came in and it stopped. Watch smith says too much damage inside. So I would like to have another IWC. Anyway I have a few more weeks to think about it as it is CNY just now.

Does the V7F version come with two different movements? I only see the ETA but not the Seagull. Where can we get that from?
