Latest Franken - Aquatimer

Received this Cousteau aquatimer back today with a gen dial installed.

Rep dial is flat matte blue but the gen dial is sunburst. Makes a big difference IMO.

Was never really a big fan of aquatimers but thought I would give it a shot.

Surprised to the upside with how hefty and solidly constructed the rep is out of the box. Also picked up the SS bracelet in addition to the rubber to change the look a little. Rep rubber is pretty good quality also - nice and flexible with same markings and angled strap holes as gen.

Like I said above, Gen dial is matte blue but rep dial is flat blue and conpletely wrong.

Other things I noticed comparing to gens on chrono24 is that the Tachy text is slightly different also. But overall the construction of this watch is pretty amazing to me. All functions including the one way ratchet bezel work like gen and the quick release rubber / bracelet change buttons.

I'm going to build another one of these with mint blue gen dial (the one shown here is slightly flawed) and also another one with mint flat black dial. Stay tuned!

nah. too many frankens sir.

this is thick but wear a great on wrist with the rubber.
