Check this out...

I find the bronze tang buckle that comes with the rep strap a bit flimsy and I always preferred the deployant look and the differing lengths of the strap that is meant for the deployant vs the more even sided lengths of the straps meant for tang buckle... problem is there is no bronze deployant for this Bronzo. No makers make a bronze / brass deployant - and probably for good reason as it can irritate the skin with prolonged contact which is why the caseback on this Bronzo is Titanium.

So what did I do? I sent a rep deployant buckle off to get turned into brass, except for the part that touches the wrist which is still SS...

Pics of a gen dial bronze Franken on a gen IWC strap with heavy patina on the watch head. I'm going to reset the patina tonight and post more pics later.

I would hope that the edges would loose some of that dark patina and show some of that bronze can show through otherwise this very effective patina is to monochrome for my taste.

Yeah I took some of the patina off last night. I used to have a black deployant on there that matched perfectly but I think it looks better more bronze looking with the brass clasp.

That’s more like it, the bronze needs to shine through just on the prominent edges, as it would when the watch is worn.
That strap is very nice as per Patsanchik where did you get it?

I like this strap. What's the source?
I got it on m2m here. It's gen IWC with a slight vintage look but not sure which BP model it originally comes from. The fact it has no rivets makes it easy to match across models and emphasises the dial.

This project is coming along nicely.
So how about some side on shots after the lightening you have done. And how did you achieve this.
Maybe scouring pad or maybe wire wool?

Lightening is just a wipe with paper towels after it has been in lemon juice, salt and baking soda for half an hour. Most of the patina comes straight off!
