Few shots of my Big Pilot Bronzo that I received today.

As has been posted before the Bronze looks really shiny and gold like out of the box. Really shiny - almost unwearably shiny.

So I spent 15 mins in the lab to accelerate the patina process.

See the results before and after below - am really happy with it.

what was your process in "the lab"? :)
Liver of sulfur and hot water. Baking soda and warm water.

Lots of ventilation :).

I will do it properly on weekend and remove the movement from case and do inside inner bezel so that the patina inside and outside matches.

So you use potassicpolysulfid in hot water? And then apply it with a towel?

Why on the inner bezel? Are you sure it will get patina IRL?

Good point, maybe the watwrproofness of the watch means inside doesn't patina but it still looks too shiny to me.

I removed the patina at my BP bronzo, starting again. Or trying to age it like you do, but actually I'm not sure.

I'm going to add ammonia this weekend for the blue colour patina. Will post more pics then.

Excellent patina. I have been trying to do my bronzo naturally but it’s taking forever. Someone’s posted on a bronzo thread that they couldn’t remove the patina from liver of sulfur. I’m not sure if this is an isolated issue specific to that member — has anyone else had trouble starting over when using liver of silver?

I also think the rivets on the strap are not real bronze. they haven't down any sign of patina despite 2 attempts.

Will have to change to another strap ex. rivets.

JacobStraps offers beautiful pilot straps with bronce rivets. Will receive my strap in a few days. The rep strap coming together with the watch is a piece of sh... and much too short.

For my taste the patina looks a bit too extreme. But great work anyways :)

Try soaking in sea water, I know it’s corrosive with all sorts dissolved in it, and should be naturalistic what ever that means, I have assumed you live near the sea. Doh!

I'm going to alternate salt water and ammonia a few times from here and repost.
