Any news upon the correct function of the UTC wheel? A simple 2824 does not support 2nd timezone.

Only the 2836 has the option of GMT function. But it's only an option.

Bad news. Emailed puretime and got a response:

"Marie,

On the IWC Spitfire UTC Bronze, the listing title says a 2836 but the details shows a 2824.
Can you clarify the movement?

Can the GMT time zone be set independently or is it locked with the hour hand time?"


"Hi, sir, the movement is 2824 The GMT can not be set independently."

Its a normal GMT watch with 2836.

Genuine is UTC geared movement. Different from GMT thing.

Well, thats great news on the GMT. But.... Now I'm skeptical to order from puretime since they explicitly told me it was a 2824.
