Hello all. I'm about to pull the trigger and purchase a 371446 YLF. I keep reading that the leather strap that comes with the reps are terrible and should be replaced immediately. I've been getting some prices from authorised strap dealers and a little shocked at the cost, a bit more than I expected. I stumbled across a thread last night where somebody had purchased a strap from Watch Gecko UK (https://www.watchgecko.com)

I've had a look on there and found a leather one for £38.99. Would that be an improvement over the one that the watch will arrive with? And also, apologies for the complete noob question but how easy is it to remove the IWC Buckle part? The metal piece that clips together

I get a lot of croc straps from here (including for my 3714), very reasonably priced for what you get. Can custom order length as well.

It'll be best to have a spring bar tool, which is a fork like tipped tool. Not difficult, but you might need awhile to get the hang of it. Best to be prepared for some scratches when you first try.
