IMHO, no. The white dial and slender markers and hands call for a more formal look. I think a black strap would look better, too. My opinion only, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

This is a dress & elegant watch imho. An high quality Croc straps will heighten its classic design.

Lug width on the Mark XVI is 20mm. Currently my favorite watch (It will get a Prof 2xar crystal. Then it will be gen IWC dial, hands, crown/tube, datewheel with a swiss ETA2892A2 and amazing crystal).

My dear IW378901 Top Gun, which recently came back from Domi's master hands!
Mods include a Gen Crown & Tube, painted tail on the second hand's plane, relume, and (I believe) correct brass color for the logo.
Next up will probably be a gen crystal along with a gen dial if I can source one!
