How bad is the V6F strap/clasp?

Hi,

I’ve read through quite a bit of the forums detailing the V6F Big Bang including reviews and comparisons. But I still can’t tell how bad the strap actually is? There seems to be some mixed reviews with some owners saying it’s okay and others saying it is horrible and to replace clasp & strap instantly. Just wanted to see how much of a dead giveaway it was.

Looks wise it doesn't seem to be all that bad, but the clasp seems to dig into your wrist. Depending who you ask, it can be a product of the strap or the clasp. I haven't picked up an OEM of either so I can't shed more light on this..

My question is, what is the difference between picking the V6F model and the V6.5 ? I am not sure if is 2 different model or not. But I see some website stating V6.5 and some V6F.

V6 clasp is a good looking no doubt but there is one thing that make it uncomfortable in my opinion, see picture - these corners they has to high profile and they sharp. And in conjunction with stiff strap it will digging your wrist.
You can wear it very loose to have it a bit comfortable. Gen rubber will improve situation but these corners need to rub down a little.

ahh cool. I’ve seen some reviews where people say they need both gen clasp and strap. Thanks!

Depending on your wrist size .Small wrist will have a higher clamping pressure because the strap is thicker .The clasp can be fixed with a dremel by cutting the sticking out metal part out and making it flush with the strap .I will make a tutorial when my dremel arrives

I have gen clasp and there are distinct differences with the rep. The edges and lines are much cleaner on the gen, fitting aside (which also has a huge difference!) Will try to do a comparison when I get the chance.

Fyi the newest stuff i recently purchased are fantastic and a serious jump on comfy and overall quality making unnecessary to source a new gen strap plus clasp combo (having two rubber sets plus one croc) imo.

Thanks for that update. The blue B.B. is very attractive. How has your movement treated you? I note that older reviews say servicing and the rare time I see it mentioned in more up to date comment some say it’s updated?
