So---I was not exactly dismissive of the Black Bay Heritage Black when it came out, but when being a bit of a design purist when it comes to watches, I was rubbed wrong by some of the choices they made. 41mm, the crown, snow flake hands, thick case, 22mm lug width...but as I've looked around for a good quality watch that is in the same vein (mid century subs) these compromises seem small and suddenly its looking more attractive to me. Has anyone else circled back to the Black Bay Heritage Black as well? I want to like the BB58, but somehow the gold numerals on the bezel are just not my thing. I've checked out the NTH barracuda, Mkii Kingston, and the Lorier Neptune, and the BB just seems like the better watch overall for scratching that gilt dial vintage sub vibe.
