Do gen makers also oil bath their bracelet? I've got a new PO and the bracelet is shedding small amount of black grease like residue which I assume is the leftover oil from the link joints?

It’s not an oil bath - just heavy grease residue. Try disassembling the bracelet and put all parts in an ultrasonic cleaner, then soak in a ziploc bag of a few ounces of coconut oil. Reassemble and the will be amazing.

Ok, noob question about this. Does the bracelet stay oily after this treatment? That would bug me. Do you wipe it off or clean it in some way? If so, does that then lessen the lube in the joints?

After the soaking, wash it very well and get that oil off there before reattaching the watch.

Hi, put my AP bracelet in a grease bath with Finish Line dry lube. 10 minute massage , 10 minutes drying out of bag and then washing it completely off.

Bracelet feels idd smooth and less rough, so happy with that obv. The edges still feel rough, so I might do a second attempt on the nooks and crannies. Thanks for the instructions

Try Rock n Roll. Its not an oil in the true sense but works a treat to get rid of the rattle.
