It’s cool, but I wish they would have kept it simpler. The transparent case back and matte finish are definite pluses.

The orange on the bezel insert turns me off, but I rather like it on the dial. With so few examples, it will be tough to see one in person and compare it to the online images (I’m sure it looks much better in the wild), but I’m liking the penchant for customization in the past 10 years. Some really cool stuff coming out ...

Yeah I don’t really know what to make of it.

I agree with you on the case finishing and display case back. Rolex movements are handsome movements and believe they deserve to be seen.

It also solves one of the things I dislike about the sub and that’s how common it is.

At the same time one thing Rolex does arguably better than any other brand is design. The Submariner is a design icon so should probably be left alone.

With only 26 made as you said chance of seeing one is low. Unless they have some pop up boutiques around.

I think that it is a beautiful watch, but it’s too expensive for what it is, it’s basically a SUB with a Dial, Hands and Bezel Insert diferent. I think that doesn’t justify the high price. But if you have money and love Sub’s, go and buy it, because it’s a awesome watch!!

Too much gimmicks. Plus it's fun on a Seiko, but on a Rolex ? You basically pay a lot of money to butcher your watch value.
