Yeah man! I have this field watch in the 50mm oversized limited edition version. Going to pick up this guy though, seeing that it is the real deal MIL-W-46374A field watch. Mine is more like a pilot sized version of the field watch, oxymoron leaving it neither in the air nor the field :D

This was sadly a catch and release :(. Needed the cash for a vintage Rolie Sub, which I ultimately couldn't get my hands on because it was promised to two lovers at the same time, and I was the third :D :D. It's a cold, cold world people....

Fossil Townsman. Cheap, but special - Bought for me by my daughter at Universal Studios' Fossil store in Florida on a school trip, back in 2014.

CaptainSplash not exactly sure, but I know its 60’s. In need of a service though. Wasnt working when I got hold of it so I opened up the 1 jewel :) movement, took it apart and oiled it. Got the heart pumping again, but it keeps horrible time and since then the date got stuck on 11.

1977 Ingersoll Sealion with custom DIY bezel ...
Movement serviced and regulated and keeps good time for a 43 years old lady ...
Case renovated and dial cleaned ...
The most challenging has been the pseudo GMT rotating bezel that was missing ... something you can't get from the web unless you're really lucky so I've had to make one by myself ...

Yup those one jewel handwind movements are workhorses, but after 60 years... well it's awesome that it found a second life, kind of like the classic car scene these days.... is it better to revitalise and modernise, or keep the patina (and the flaws, and the stories....) as is. I'm in the second camp :p. I have a soft spot for this one, my Grandfather owned one and I remember checking out the watch while sitting in theback of his Valiant. Memories...
