I posted this on another forum but think it fits better here. My Dad purchased this new right after it came out. My Dad worked for the Railroad and I think this was one of the first approved wristwatches for Railroad use. He had been using a gold Hamilton pocket watch. I still have that one also. Dad passed a few years ago at aged 95. Both of these still keep perfect time.

My grandfather was a gandy dancer early in his career with the railroad, then a brakeman. My uncle was also a brakeman.
I've got a late 19th century railroad lantern that was my grandfather's when he worked. It's a treasure for me!
