I have more pictures on one of my HD's, I just need to dedicate some time to go through each one to find the rest of them.

Wow I wish you could still get rep SMPs like that! It looks fantastic!

Your build is absolutely beautiful, SMPs really don’t get much better than that. I can’t help but feel it deserves a gen insert... that would really be the icing on the cake but they’re hard to find in mint condition

Congrats.
Very nicely done and IMHO no pre-owned gen would be as gratifying as one put together for the passion of the journey. :clap_1:
I can relate to how pesky it can sometimes be to get those darn spring bars in.
I've resorted to having to "very slightly" bend the 2nd shoulder and pivot to get them to fit perfectly.
It can be a real pain sometimes but once they're in, they are "in"....very tight and holding the SEL to the case with no movement.
So tight I often dread when they need to come out.

I can't take the WSO anymore, PIP sticks out like a sore thumb and the numbers are too fat lol
So I am actually working with someone to get me BNIB (new in blister) one right now, though it will be a few more weeks before I receive the whole bezel assembly.

I may have to use your technique in order to get the swiss bars I have in. They are much fatter than the spring bars currently installed.

Those were the two things I was thinking lol. Think the colour is a bit out too. With that fitted it will be an absolutely perfect build.

great looking watch, always wanted one and thought about my own build but had trouble finding a gen case (and reps just aren't accurate enough) where did you source the case from?

It was Ofrie's last one. It's a service case without serial number.

VERY nice!!! How did the cost compare to buying one outright?B

Thank you.
A current google check has them anywhere from 3800USD onward up to in the 6000USD range.
Parts all totaled 1972USD, so pretty big difference.
The fact that the 2531. just officially went "vintage" status by Omega may be part of the reason for the overly inflated cost we are now seeing.

Great build. Love that dial. Did you get a Gen Insert?
