Dude, you got the seiko bug bad! Love it though....

I am wanting to do a 62MAS mod build too. No way I'm spending 3k+ on the SLA017 so I was thinking I would get the SPB051 or 053 & mod the hands.

Yours looks better though. Your dial doesn't have the X prospex logo, which looks great! & obviously you have a good handset that looks good too.

Would you mind sharing what you did & where you got everything?

Hi, I would greatly appreciate some advice here. I recently bought a new SKX013. It keeps terrible time, losing around 90 seconds per day. The seller said I can return the watch and get a full refund or they can reimburse me 15 dollars (for the trouble) and I can take the watch to seiko service centre or a local watch maker. What do you think I should do? How long to seiko usually take to fix watches under warranty? Both the seller (creation watches) and my nearest seiko service centre are in other countries.

Will you be out of pocket if you return it to them?

If it were me I'd be looking at returning it. To me a $15 rebate wouldn't be worth the hassle of getting it fixed.

After looking on a few other forums I came across this (translated from Swedish).

"Creation watches are known to sell faulty SEIKOs, to preface the question, I have no idea why. Some have a jumped spring, which makes them go too fast, some have a date shift that does not work and some are dead on arrival. At other clock forums there are more examples, but I've added some from KS below.

Creation watches are not AD for SEIKO and SEIKO denies warranty issues on watches sold from CW. CW is also known to send the wrong box or no box at all, and CW does not seriously take any warranty matters, so you can not count on getting help from CW if your newly purchased clock is strange.

My advice is easy: Buy from someone else and tip others not to buy from CW."

New JDM released just last month. This is the only dress watch I currently have in the collection. Quite stunning for the $$. It looks a lot like a GS imo.

I have no horse in this race, but. ......

Creation watches is one of the most well known and most well respected dealers of jdm watches period. If you don't believe me, ask on wus or do a search over there. It just dawned on me that since you have like 2 posts you might not know what wus is. watchuseek is probably the biggest watch forum for gens. If not there check it out on timezone the other one. You are going to find the same.

Try not to start trashing someone when you know nothing of them

I was so excited about the new acquisition yesterday, that I forgot to show the display back. I particularly like the rotor, it reminds me of a Japanese robot face or something similar. It's not the usual 4R36A rotor design, and has a few extra cutouts and different color. It exponentiate's the movement's cool factor.

Recraft series, model no. SNKM97. This one was released in 2015 if i'm not mistaking.

This Recraft model no. SNKP23 was just released this year, and is already shipped as well. Fathers birthday gift, I hope he likes it because I do.
