So, I'm very new to RWI and thought I would share with other new people so you can get an idea of how the experience went.

The first thing I did is go to the forums did some reading and asked some questions. There were some very helpful people and a lot of trolls. Just beware if you ask a question about a certain watch Some people with 10k + post will come on and flame you as lazy for not reading 1000's of posts from years back, and being a noob. I didn't appreciate that very much, but in between those trolls were helpful people willing to answer questions.

The Watch: I chose a 2018 Omega Seamaster with a grey dial. the reason I chose it is because it wouldn't look out of place in my lifestyle, it's a watch I could conceivably own, I ordered it from InTimeWatch at intime05.com.

Payment method. I had to learn bitcoin, but it wasn't that hard, once the payment was made it took 3 or 4 days to confirm. after that, it took about 10 days for the watch to be sent from the factory. They sent me pics of my actual watch to inspect and it looked OK in the pictures so after that they shipped it.

I thought shipping would take a long time, but from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, I got the watch in 8 days.

The Watch itself: it looked great putting a caliper on it it came within spec of the real model in cross diameter and from lug to lug. it was 1mm short across the diameter to the crown. I'm certain a jeweler with an eyepiece would spot it immediately, but this watch passes the eye test. I would dare anyone with the naked eye to tell it apart.

Overall. It was a quick simple process and I was very pleased with my watch. I will definitely do it again.

Those members with 1000’s of posts have been here for years and seen the same questions pop up multiple times a day - they’re just trying to encourage self-reliance and personal growth.

For your calipers measurement, did you also measure a gen at exactly the same place? I expect your measuring was off, rather than the case dimensions of the rep. Although I doubt a “jeweler with an eyepiece” would spot it anyway, unless they were an Omega specialist.

It’s good to hear you’re happy with it, wear it in good health.

Thanks, p0pperini. I used the same measuring spots a watch reviewer on YouTube used. I do get your point about self-reliance, This community has some specific terms that many new people aren't knowledgeable about. I guess some are better at communicating that than others. For me, the hardest part was learning how to buy Bitcoin and use it to purchase it. It's my hope that other new people will read my experience and get a sense of what to expect as they dive in and purchase a watch.

That really is a step beyond what I’m prepared to dabble in for the sake of this hobby! You have my respect and admiration sir.

All the info is there you just meed to comb through. Admit it can be daunting so people can ask questions after your research if you still have a particular area you still havent able to crack. People here tend to help out if members’ve shown they have done their homework. So its more of how to ask an intelligent question rather than throw a blanket query which people dont appreciate

Yea, I know what you’re thinking but this is the internet so just have to get used to flaming.

By the by, the Omega Seamaster is a beautiful watch - u will add more soon to collection im sure haha

Good choice on the watch, the blue and grey colours really fit the style.
