First Time Buyer Needing Some Help

Hello, my name is Mike and I have been so hesitant these last couple of months to buy a rep and was about to send a person I have never met $650 via PayPal...I met him on Instagram, but I did like the watches he was offering. I have been reading threads about the TD's and even reached out to one, I think his name was Tony....

Well I went to Tony's website and it looked legit (to be selling Rolex reps) and I even sent him an email with no response. Everyone was saying that he was so responsive via email. I eventually want to start a rep collection, but I am after the highest quality and really not too worried about the cost. I have not been able to find anyone willing to help me with my first purchase, so I am reaching out to the well educated people on here.

If anyone is willing to "spoon feed" me through my first rep purchase I would forever be grateful. I am looking for the highest quality, black dial, black bezel, classic Rolex Submariner. I look forward to hearing from someone.

Welcome to the forum.

As you may know, there is issues going on in China, not only with the Corona Virus but also it interfered with their Chinese New Year, which most dealers cease operations. Both of these mixed up will cause delays in communication and orders since they will have to catch up with orders made before CNY and the Virus outspread.

How long ago did you contact the seller? Sellers take from 24-48 hours to respond on a good day. I wouldn't expect it to be the case this time of year and with all their issues right now. Also consider the time zone changes.

Also consider that they are most a one-person operation. Do surf around the forums, there are many "sticky" threads, important threads pinned by our moderators and admins where they explain the process of ordering and the current situation in China. See the links below.

This is a rough time for everyone in China and responses will be very slow. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes weeks to hear back. Best advice I can give is to stick to the TD's on this site and wait until March. Patience is king right now. Try browsing the classifieds here as well, there are a lot of subs listed.

Yeah I would expect a watch from TD at least mid march
