Rolex 116523 Case Authenticity Check

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a gen rolex 116523 mid case and case back and find this one on ebay. I would appreciate the more experienced members here to comment on the authenticity of this.

My gut is it's real. Look at the wear on the lug engraving. There wasn't a genuine spec case around long enough back to get that much wear. I'm wondering what happened to the rest of it.

Thank you for the comment. I've bought a V72 movement from the seller half year ago, and it was quite good. so that also gives me some confidence to consider buying from him. I can tell it's different from a noob case which I'm currently have, but worry that it might be an arf case.

Mid case is gen. Not 100% sure on the case back looking at the Rolex font stamp - probably gen though as the outside (wrist side) is definitely gen spec.. fit and finish
Rather pricey save the 18k pushers.

Thank you. I've shown the pic. to my watch maker and he also mentioned the case back font, which prompted me to make this post for second opinion. It's pricy for sure so I'm still hesitating.
