Does this strap even have the quick release function on the endlinks? I don’t think it’s compatible without it. Strap is also wrong for the rep clasp in case you want to use that.

Indeed antoniomc27 make sure to check if you'll be able to install the Hirsch strap on the Santos, Hirsch strap is a generic one, and I don't remember the performance series having a quick release springbar, mine sure doesn't have it.
Hirsch manufacture strap for the big names of the watch industry, maybe sending them an email about compatibility would be a good idea, mentioning your skin issue may help for guidance on the strap choice too

There is so much content here, and all the latest talking about GF, BVF and KOR with no mention of V6F.

So - which is best?

Hi, just bought an santos blue dial from Gf, but the last smartlinks pin continuously pops up, and i can not interchange it with one of the spare smartlinks since it is the last one and it connects with a link that doesnot have the smart pin system, how can i fix that?

C.gjinika hey buddy,

was having a similarish issue when first adjusting the bracelet. One of the pins was being stubborn, however I just sort of fiddled with it and it finally went in and hasn't been a bother ever since.

just try and push it in a little further, I think it should be ok.

How about the Santos on a hornback croc leather strap and croc leather wallet?

Picked up the GF 40mm (Large) blue dial from Kuvarsit.

Pros: Beautiful finish. Steel strap is well made. Sunburst dial is stunning in the sun. (Have compared to the Gen and is very close) Sits perfectly on my 6.75in wrist.

Cons: Leather strap that came with the watch was ripped and unusable. Reserve is about 24 hours - could be better.

Onto the pics (including one next to the Santos Dumont):

Hi, nice review, it looks like the 24 hour power reserve is like standard on the gfs miyota, is it a problem? I just got my blue dial gf 40mm and it looks like i have the same issue, how can i fix that? Should i send it back or is it possible to fix this issue on a watch smith?
Thanks

antoniomc27 what size watch is that ?

The 40mm, as TheGoodGoodLife mentions the 35mm does not have date window.

slashdotcom1 I have seen several people saying that, yes. For me, it was not a nuisance, but I do understand your point of view.

The reason why I chose the 40mm is because I found it the perfect size... much less big than I was expecting, despite my slightly-smaller-than-average wrist.

I would advise to go for the 35mm only if you are comfortable wearing small watches (e.g the Rolex 36mm Datejust).

P.S: Just my two cents, getting started in this rep world :D
