Dirt (?) on the inside of glass

Hey I got my Breitling Navitimer World this week and I love it - it looks much more stunning in real than on pictures. However, I realized that there seems to be some dirt on the inside of the glass - if you look closely you see it it is directly above the breitling sign of the clockhand.

My question is - can or better said should I try so remove it myself? I am not that experienced in working on watches but it would be basically opening the caseback, taking out the clockwork and dial and cleaning the glas.

Go to a local watchsmith that works with reps. It is an easy and a cheap fix.

I wouldn't try and do it yourself, you could end up damaging something or just getting more muck inside when you disassemble it!

Or you could decide that you want a prof crystal and then get 4 other watches while you wait for it to come back and get a rabid watch addiction that costs way more than you would have thought a few specks of dust could ever have costs.

Ams55557 you maybe joking, but sadly my first line of thought was "I could now buy a prof crystal and let someone install it if I need to send it in anyways. but then i could also send in my other watch and install a prof crystal on that."

thanks for the other answers - since there is no local watch smith in my country that works on reps, I have to send it to someone from the community. Can you recommend someone based in Europe?

This is the story that I followed that got me bitten by the prof bug. Cleaning dirt was easy but I couldn't stop there. If I would have...well, then I wouldn't have the prof issues I have now. Being addicted to perfect xstals is a good problem to have. The parts required cost under $50 (suction ball for the case, screw driver for the crown release, movement holder for the movement holding, micro cloth). That said I'm sure a jeweler would do it for no more than $50.

Thanks a lot for the info Ams55557 . I really love perfect xtals and I am a kind of addictive person so I better not cross the boundary of ordering one of Prof haha.

I decided to send the watch to a watchmaker from the forum and let it service too!
