Now that GF is gone, I’m wondering if any one knows if the OMF models are any good, or alternately the no name models sold by some of the TDs.

Still worth buying?

I ordered an Omega from OMF also known as JHF. My TD said their watches are beautiful but have many small QC problems. My comparison would be to ZF. Nice watches but QC problems. I have not received the watch yet, but I approved the QC pics.

I am yet to purchase a watch, first timer. Would a watch with QC problems like that draw negative attention or just be apparent to detail oriented watch people?

Welcome to RWI @lorax
Here are some links to make you feel comfortable. Take your time, read and use the search feature. When you first join it is a bit overwhelming. You will be fine in a few weeks. The first to links will help you understand the process of buying a Rep watch. It is not Amazon. You will need patience. If you do your homework RWI members will be more than happy to give you some direction.

Most flaws are only apparent to members here. I usually compare Gen photos to the TD photos to make sure there are no major blunders such as wrong dial color, wrong caseback, wrong model number, mis-spellings. The QC errors are crooked markers, misaligned pearl, and crystal not seated correctly. Also search for info here on the watch you want to buy. I also use Watchbase.com and BreitlingSource.com for detailed information. Don't worry to much. Your first purchases will not be your best. We were all Noob's at one time. You will get better with each purchase. You will need to spend $300-$450 to get a decent watch unless it is on sales for some reason. If the factory is not listed ask your TD who is the maker.

Date wheel looks better than most, sadly inferior to GF though. Really a shame if they’re gone for good, just when we had a really good SOH rep. Would be interested to see some shots if someone has one of these.

These are my QC images.

I notice the color of the hands is a off. Is that something to ask the TD about or that’s just what all of these reps will have?

This is just a regular OMF order. Not sure where they sourced the clasp from.

I also noticed the engraving on the case back is for the wrong model number, the pearl is a little off as well.

Looking for a little feedback on whether the hand color/caseback are reasons to raise concern with the TD, or if that's just the game.

The color of the hands and pearl look good to me. I personally wouldn't be concerned regarding the engraving of the wrong model number. No one is going to see that, and even if they do see it they very likely would have no idea regarding the Breitling model numbers.

Now this is my personal opinion but I tend to stay away from any reps other than those with black/white/grey dials. I own a rep Rolex D-Blue but that's fairly close to gen. Blues usually seem to give the factories trouble. I own the gen version of this watch and the blue on this looks way too bright to me. If I were to buy a rep of this watch I would go for the black version. To me it is the closest version to the gen. The gen of this watch is not that uncommon compared to AP and some of the other blue faced reps. If you encounter someone with the gen it's going to be a pretty obvious tell. Again this is just IMO.

apollo1965 - It seems so!

Wraithier - Really appreciate the input. Definitely knew there would be a trade off re. color when choosing the blue, but needed it to better match me and my style. Can't help but be a little jealous of the gen.

I understand, love the blue, just wanted to make sure you are aware it's off from gen. It's hard to tell exactly too because it always looks different in different light. These pics seems like they are under pretty bright light, may be closer to gen in hand.
