My first two reps arrived today. A Vacheron and ..
The below Breguet, with his 43mm diameter case, 14mm thick , a solid appearance.
I chose a steel model as I find it somewhat more discreet than a gold tone one.
The Sea-Gull (Venus) movement looks nicely finisched en runs well (-5s/d, 333°, 0,5ms).
An original in white gold with hand finished Guilloche dail is an other trade but costs also like 150 times more. The people at Breguet making the Guilloche dails with the machine get 6 year internship training (that is after their watchmaking course). On the dail you find a number of Guilloche finischings:"Clous de Paris" oon the main dail, Vieux panier" and "flammé" on the 3h chronometer dail and "damier" on the seconds dails at 9h. If you look with a loop you see it lack's the sharp details of an original, but overall the impression is nice.
